HWMG is committed to supporting our clients and members affected by wildfires on Maui and has implemented the following.
HWMG and OptumRx are committed to providing a full spectrum of pharmacy care, especially in times of emergency. Our primary concern is to ensure our members have access to their prescription medications during this difficult time.
For members heavily impacted by the wildfires, HWMG and OptumRx have suspended restrictions around early refills for HMAA and Charter Communications members through September 30, 2023. If you need help, please contact HWMG’s Customer Service Center for assistance with filling a prescription.
If you do not have employer-provided drug coverage, Optum Perks is a prescription drug savings program through which individuals can obtain a free discount card online and instantly save on select prescription medications. For more information, visit himemberplus.com/optumperks.
Through HiDoc, you can speak to a doctor about smoke inhalation, minor burns, coughing/wheezing, medication refills, and more. Mental health services are also available to members dealing with stress and anxiety.
Travel associated with medical care will be based on your regular plan benefits. If care is not available on a member’s home island, your plan may reimburse travel costs to the nearest island where care can be provided in accordance with the member’s plan benefits. Learn more.
